According to Burgess, further legal action against the disgraced politician will only expose more of his involvement in the visa hustle.

“Now, in terms of further legal action, you’re saying that you’re seeking advice as to whether or not maybe a civil suit will force him to either have to pay up or in this case would have to pay more.  Correct?”

“Exactly.  It will incur more because then it has to pay interest and stuff like that.  Once I do something like that and I am ready for that and even further than that because I am contemplating even suing Minister Castro for defamation of my character by him taking me to court and withdrawing that case.  And then in that case Isani, all those evidence that I have put aside will worse come out now.  The evidence with the letters and the receipts with everything with that visa situation then it will just get worse for Mr. Castro.”

The case against Burgess and Great Belize Productions was presided over by Justice Courtney Abel. Attorney Godfrey Smith represented this station while Burgess was represented by Attorney Anthony Sylvester.
