Belizeans Honoured At Annual Award Ceremony

At the Bliss Institute on Thursday night, a number of Belizeans were honored for their contributions to the country. The ceremony is incorporated as part of the activities of the national celebrations to recognize those sterling patriots who have rendered unflinching service in a number of fields. Meritorious Service awards went to eighteen Belizeans while the big award this year, the Order of Distinction, was granted to two persons: Emma Boiton and posthumously to Gian Gandhi. The Governor General Colville Young was on hand to deliver the awards.  This is how it went:
