Immigration Officer Assaulted During Home Invasion

There was a home invasion in the Santiago Juan Layout of San Ignacio Town. Just after eleven on Monday night as forty-six year old immigration officer and owner of Coaba Restaurant, Ismael Pullido, arrived at his house on Rose Wood Street, three armed masked men accosted him inside his yard. Before robbing him of some fifteen hundred dollars, one of the gunmen hit Pullido over the head with a weapon and he had to be rushed to the San Ignacio Hospital. Assistant Superintendent Reymundo Reyes told News Five that the men also entered the home and got away with a nine millimeter pistol registered to Pullido.

“Police visited the San Ignacio Hospital where on arrival they saw that he was being treated for cut wounds to the right side of his forehead. Information is that shortly after arriving home, he decided to step out to feed his animals, his dogs that he has, and during that process that is when three male persons, wearing masks over their faces, jumped over the fence and held him at gunpoint. As a result, he was assaulted by one of the persons with a weapon, causing the injuries and immediately searched. He was relieved of his gold chain, a thousand and five hundred dollars in cash and his personal nine mm pistol.”

“At the time, he had his family at home. The assailants actually made their way inside the house also…his wife was approached, but no sort of injuries were caused on her. Thereafter, the persons just left the premises. Apparently they knew that the gentleman had the money on him and they went especially for him.”

“At this moment, police officers are on the ground trying to get information as to who might have been the persons who went and did this crime at the residence of Mister Pullido. But so far, information is coming very slow.”
