Sister of Thytis Blancaneaux Says Tzib Showed No Remorse
Tzib’s mother says that she is doing okay on remand because she is away from the things that terrorize her. She’s confident that everything will work out for her daughter in the end. Another spectator in court today was the sister of Thytis Blancaneaux who died after he was stabbed once to the shoulder by Tzib during an altercation at the home the couple shared in Lord’s Bank. It is an emotional time for Minerva Blancaneaux as she waits for the Court to determine at least the immediate fate of the woman who took the life of her brother.
Minerva Blancaneaux, Sister of Thytis Blancaneaux
“My family has absolutely no anger or hatred or any feelings of vengeance towards Keyren Tzib. Initially we actually had a lot of sympathy towards both her and her family but after speaking to her after the incident with my brother before she was officially charged, she expressed absolutely no remorse. She did not even give us an apology, so that sympathy went through the window. At this point the most compassion personally I can feel is towards her mom, because I have no idea how a mother or any parent finds the strength to continue loving a child that has sunken that low…how they find the words to counsel them to acknowledge the grave wrong that they have done, to take responsibility for having taken somebody’s life, and how they find the words to guide them into living with that for the rest of their life.”
