Is Lifting of Checkpoints a Political Ploy?
The curious memo has given rise to all kinds of speculation which will certainly be fuelled by the Prime Minister’s confirmation that those checkpoints will be back up after elections. Social media has been afire with claims that the move has been put in place to facilitate the movement of brand new voters from across our border to different parts of the country to bolster the U.D.P.’s numbers. Today, C.E.O. in the Minister of National Security, retired Colonel George Lovell, scoffed at that suggestion, claiming that it is nonsense. He told us that it is purely an operational move on the Commissioner’s part caused by the many complaints that checkpoints have been inconveniencing commuters. Those checkpoints were put in place as a direct consequence of spiralling crime, but Lovell says their removal will not be a problem since other options can be put in place to combat crime. We have little doubt that the decision to move those checkpoints were made at a level above the Commissioner’s pay scale, but the rationale behind it will have to remain the subject of speculation for now since persons have complained for a long time, but the checkpoints were never called off until now.

The commissioner has not been completely politically neutral has he? How about doing the right thing and keeping the check points up until after election; uping instead operations to ensure that illegal voters and immigrants are not taking place between now and elections?

PUP government the first thing you should do, in the following 24 hrs after election is finished is to get rid of all those CEO that are politically biased and do not have the people first.
