U.D.P. Cayo South Candidate Ralph Huang on the Campaign Trail
U.D.P. Cayo South Standard Bearer Ralph Huang continues to actively campaign in that constituency, even though his office in Camalote was destroyed by fire. Huang is a newcomer to electoral politics and is contending for a seat in the House of Representatives by challenging the formidable incumbent area representative Julius Espat. Cayo South is comprised of as many as thirteen villages from Valley of Peace to Armenia and points in between. Canvassing the constituency is a painstaking effort and Huang has been making his rounds visiting with residents in a door-to-door blitz.
Ralph Huang, U.D.P. Standard Bearer, Cayo South
“I always walk around with friends. I’ve been living in this division twenty-two years. I always dream about being in the constituency and it is not just because I am running in politics, but from then I always moved around in the division. I see that there are a lot of things that can be done in the division and that’s my main motivation to jump into my political career and to see what kind of efforts I can put into my division and also my own personal community, Unitedville. Valley of Peace is a place that I put a lot of potential and hope in it. There are a lot of areas in Valley of Peace that we could develop into a commercial zone in terms of agriculture. It’s also that there is a village of Armenia that we have quite a bit of farmers there that try hard to develop their farming section of land there and also the government has provided them to acquire thirteen hundred acres during the years that Ramon Witz was in power and we will get those leases for the people of Armenia and also we installed the water system for the Armenia people so they don’t need to be suffering during the dry season. And also we do a lot of roads fixing, drainage and things like this. The U.D.P. government and I have been working very hard for the people in Cayo South. I don’t think that when P.U.P. claim that Cayo South is a sure seat for P.U.P.; that is a very wrong concept for the politician because the P.U.P. take the people for granted. What we have is the people support and we can only work hard to regain their trust.”
I like his words very good,
but remember the P.M. give
the last say so.
