200 Immigrants Sworn In

In late September, two hundred plus persons became new Belizeans. The group of two hundred and thirteen persons from a diverse number of countries took the oath to become new citizens of Belize. today, less than two weeks before the November fourth elections, approximately two hundred more immigrants were sworn-in at the George Price Center. Now legally, the men, women and children who were naturalized as Belizeans are not eligible to participate in the upcoming democratic exercise since the deadline for voter registration and transfer expired on September tenth. Nonetheless, the timing of the ceremony is raising eyebrows since the public is wary of suspicious activities leading up to and involving the elections and anything to do with passports and other travel documents. During his remarks at today’s ceremony, Minister of Immigration Godwin Hulse said that the new Belizeans cannot participate in the upcoming process.

“You cannot vote in the upcoming election but you certainly will be able to vote in the subsequent elections once you register. That is a sacred right and you are free to exercise it just how you want. In this upcoming election on November fourth, the people of Belize, your brothers and sisters will go to the polls to elect a new government. We have no idea whom they will elect. I hope and pray they return our government, that is normal, but I have no guarantee. This may be my last swearing-in ceremony. On November fifth, I may no longer be the Honorable Minister, I could just be an ordinary Belizean and when you see me you will say, “Oh, that was the man who swore me in” and that is the way it goes. You respect the will of the people. There’s going to be no fight, trust me. Whatever happens there’s going to be no violence with the change of government, we’ve done this a lot of times and we understand that process. That is the kind of country you are in.”

IT IS TOTALLY NON SENSE TO BE NATURALIZING IMMIGRANTS WITHOUT SCREENING THEM LOOKING WHAT TYPE OF PEOPLE ARE COMING IN TO OUR COUNTRY. THIS PUTS BELIZEANS AT AN DISADVANTAGE IN MANY WAYS. FOR EXAMPLE, MOST IMMIGRANTS JUST COME TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEGRADING SOCIAL SERVICES MOST WOMEN PROVIDE IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BARS,THUS TRANSMITTING STDS AND OTHER VENEREAL DISEASES. THE CORRUPTION IN OUR COMMUNITY BY MOST IMMIGRANTS WHO HAVE THE TENDENCY TO COME AND MANIPULATE OUR GOVERNMENT OUR DEFENCE FORCES BY TRAFFICING DRUGS, INVOLVING AND CREATING CRIME RINGS THROUGH OUT THE COUNTRY.
THIS PRESENT GOVERNMENT HAS NO KIND OF AMBITION AND LOVE FOR OUR COUNTRY I WANT TO KNOW IF THE PRIME MINISTER IS 100% BLOOD LINE BELIZEAN TO UNDERSTAND THE DEGREE OF BEING A PROUD BELIZEAN
Ministers and representatives giving away this country for a vote so they can better themselves, while the poor people continue to live in rubbles and scavenger go to find food at the landfill.
