Belize City man Charged for unlawful sex

Tonight, a Belize City resident is accused of having unlawful sex with a foster child from a child care home in the City. Nineteen year old Guillermo Silva, of Antelope Street Extension, was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith this morning.  A fifteen year old girl claims that on October nineteenth 2015, Silva, who she refers to as her boyfriend, abused her sexually. A doctor has since examined the minor and certified that she has been carnally known. Silva was remanded to the Belize Central Prison until December sixteenth, 2015. Last Wednesday, a Social Worker of Hattieville Village accompanied the minor to the police station where the child reported that the abuse took place on October nineteenth, 2015.
