Still No Arrest in Election Night shooting
Sixteen days after he allegedly discharged his firearm in public on election night, a close affiliate and supporter of Minister of Police John Saldivar has yet to be charged, or even detained – except for one brief moment when he was in Police custody immediately after the shooting. The incident was caught on video, including Minister Saldivar and supporters approaching Police, shouting at them to back off before pulling the alleged shooter away from law enforcement officers. In the normal course of things, any person committing that offence would have been arrested and charged, but because of the persons involved the situation is not normal. We are told that Police have taken statements from officers who were on the scene, and are now trying to get statements from civilians who were there. Meanwhile a letter has been sent to the alleged shooter who resides in San Pedro, informing him that a recommendation has been made for his gun license to be revoked. Of course, the revocation of his gun license can only be done by the Commissioner of Police, and up until tonight it is still pending.
Corruption right from the start! This shows you what kind of a man Saldivar is! This is outright shameful.
