Analiz Perez is Granted Daily Visitation of Daughter in DHS Custody
In an update to a story we have been following closely since Monday of last week, twenty-two-year-old Analiz Perez Gutierrez, whose infant daughter was removed from her custody by the Department of Human Services, has been granted visitation. The toddler remains in the care of a foster parent while the ongoing custody battle between Perez and her Guatemalan ex-boyfriend plays out in the Belize Family Court. News Five understands that Perez is being allowed daily supervised visits with two-year-old Nina at an undisclosed location. We also understand that the child remains in high spirits, despite having to adjust to a new living environment. Nina was taken away from her mother on November thirteenth, under instructions from the department upon learning that Guatemalan authorities had filed a case under the Hague Convention. Perez is due in court on January fifteenth, 2016, on the same date when temporary custody of her daughter will expire.
I wish you luck lady. Stay strong as a mother. Fight to the bitter end to get your daughter. I admire your courage, pray to God daily, and may you be Blessed.
Why does the Belize media find it necessary to plaster the picture of this minor on their news cast? Poor journalism.
