Cayo Police Go to Church on Sunday
The Cayo Police formation spent some quality time on Sunday – not in training and not on operation, but in Church. According to Deputy Commander Reymundo Reyes, he felt that the Department needed all the blessing that it could get as they head into the Christmas season, and that’s why on Sunday officers marched proudly, in formation, to Church and back to give thanks and to ask for a little divine intervention as they go about their duties.
ASP Reymundo Reyes, Deputy Commander, Cayo Police Formation
“Today it was a day that we decided to bring out the staff from the San Ignacio Police Formation to attend this church service. If you notice, we are coming close to the end of the year and we had two incidents involving police officers where one of them end up being hospitalized for a few days. As a result I decided to consult with my commanders and the commissioner and inform them that my intention was to bring the staff to a church service here at the Catholic Church and ask for a blessing for us police officers. As you know the time is coming where everything is getting out of hand, crime is raising and the public is here to support us and we are here to support us and we need to show our commitment also—not only on the streets, but also by attending church services like this.”
I applaud this commander in service, this is a very good initiative for the police force. God will always bless you for finding his divine wisdom and protection and to help you proct4ct us the civilians from crime and to works safely along with the community.
A very nice move and the Lord will bless you officers doing so.
