An Orange Walk Cashier is Arraigned for Hit and Run Incident

There is an arrest in a hit and run accident that occurred up north over the weekend. Cashier Madelyn Gongora, a resident of Orange Walk has been charged for ‘driving without due care and attention’, ‘failure to stop and render aid’ and ‘negligent grievous harm’. Police believe she was the driver of aToyotavehicle which hit forty-five year old Marco Cuellar at about three o’clock on Saturday morning. Cuellar was standing on the roadside and he was hit and injured on the face, chin, knee, chest and stomach. Gongora reportedly did not stop to assist Cuellar who was later treated at theNorthernRegionalHospitaland then transferred to theKarlHeusnerMemorialHospital.
