Police Say Dark Knight Owner Brad Paumen Placed a Hit on Four Persons

Bradley Paumen

Did American Bradley Paumen, owner of tour company Dark Knight put a hit on four persons? Apparently the Police believe that he did. On January sixth, Special Branch officers detained and arrested Paumen. That Friday, the eight, Paumen was transported by Special Branch officers to San Ignacio where he was quietly arraigned on four counts of Abetment to Murder and remanded to the Belize Central Prison. It’s a story we’ve been following for the past week, and we have made queries as high up as the Ministry of National Security, with no success. Perhaps because of those queries, eight days after Paumen was detained, the story finally made it into the Police sitrep.  According to that report, Paumen is accused of soliciting the murder of Michael Modiri and three other persons. From our investigations, we can tell you that Paumen has had a contentious relationship with American-Iranian Faroud Michael Modiri over land. In a nutshell, the caves which are a feature of Paumen’s Dark Knight operation in Frank’s Eddy can only be accessed through property owned by Modiri. In 2013, while Modiri was in the U.S., Paumen somehow got the Ministry of Natural Resources to compulsorily acquire a portion of Modiri’s land. When Modiri came back to Belize he found a road almost a mile long through his property providing access to the caves. Modiri took Paumen to court and in January 2015 the Supreme Court quashed government’s acquisition and awarded costs to Modiri. According to Police, the arrest of Paumen is the result of an investigation which commenced in December eleventh. We note that with the arrest of Paumen, News Five has been reliably informed that Modiri, who was out of the country, will be returning in the very near future. In another facet of this sensational case, Brad Paumen’s licensed firearm was found during a GSU search of an abandoned garage on Plues Street, in George Street Gang territory. We’ll continue following this story.

Here we go again, Government employees taking personal property and selling it for a few $$$$$.

Does “compulsorily acquire” mean bribe someone inside the Ministry of Natural Resources to take part of Modiri’s land? It sure sounds like it.

I would like the goverment agensy/FBI to intervene and put him in jail for the rest of his life. I even think he deserver death penalty for that kind of crime.
