A Guatemalan Woman is Missing in Belize

Tonight, there is a report of a Guatemalan woman that mysteriously disappeared in Belize. A report has been made to the Benque Police by her son, nineteen-year-old Alexander Enrique Garcia Giron. According to Melchor De Mencos resident, his mother, Lidia Janet Garcia Giron travelled to Belize since January the eighth and has disappeared. Lidia reportedly was heading to Cow Pen in the Stann Creek District to meet a person known only as “El Nica.” But from all accounts, the thirty-nine year old did not reach her destination and Independence Police only know that she is missing. Lidia was last seen wearing a black blouse, blue jeans pants and a pair of black sandals. She is of clear complexion, brown eyes and has red hair. A distinguishing mark is a tattoo with the name “Humberto” on one of her legs. The last time her son heard from her was ten days ago when she said she was in San Ignacio.
