Man Remains Hospitalized Following Pasadita Bar Shootout

A resident of the Duck Run Three Community remains in a critical condition at a Belize City hospital after he was shot to the chest and hip on Tuesday night following a shootout at Pasadita Bar on the Iguana Creek Road. Eddy Larios is one of three persons who were shot and injured by Jose Anibal Molina Estrada. The two others are Guillermo Guerra, who was shot to the foot and Village Chairman Victor Ismael Perez, who was hit the stomach. In the exchange of gunfire, Molina was hit multiple times to the back and died on the spot. Police told us today that both Guerra and Perez are now recovering at home.

“We recorded two statements from two witnesses this morning and we are in the process of recording one of the statements from one of the persons that was shot; he was released from the hospital today. That’s Mister Perez, the Chairman of Duck Run.”

“Well so far we are still collecting statements from the witnesses, but once we complete the case file, it will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution for her advice because we still have not gotten statements from two of the other shooting victims.”
