But Briceño’s Take on LGBT Issues?

John Briceño

The Rainbow Flag has been hoisted at the U.S. Embassy in Belmopan and responses have been flooding in. Members of the LGBT community and supporters claim that it is a great day for Belize. Members of various churches and anti-gay activists call it an abomination and threaten fire and brimstone. Other more objective, less judgmental observers are just looking on. But whatever your persuasion or opinion, the LGBT issue is big – more so because it has been announced that the Chief Justice will be handing down his decision in the Section Fifty-three Supreme court case next month. The Opposition hasn’t stated a position on the issue and so we asked P.U.P. Leader John Briceño for one.

John Briceño, P.U.P. Leader

“I think we as a Party has always felt that we need to treat everybody equally in this country as dictated by the Constitution – nothing less than the Constitution – that we are all equal in the Constitution and that everybody has equal rights. Personally I believe that whatever personal decision that you make is between yourself and the Creator and we need to respect that decision that you make as to whether your lifestyle or anything else that you want to do – that is something between you and your Creator and we should not judge you for that.”

Mike Rudon

“That is your position. Do you feel that the time will come when the Party will be forced or pressured into stating a position?”

John Briceño

“I don’t think it’s a matter of being forced or pressured but certainly I think the time will come when we as a Party have to take an official position. We haven’t taken an official position on that, but we need to wait to see what the Courts are going to say. And then I guess at that time it would be the appropriate time for us to take an official position.”

If all these nations do not go along with the dictates of the US/Rome in order to accomplish their “agendas”, “synthesis” (the combination of components or elements to form a connected whole), they will be punished/sanctioned and aid withheld. All must be fulfilled though. Too bad a lot of people in the world are so blind as to how things are unfolding around us and in the spiritual relm. Only the informed and truly transformed will survive the final global onslaught. Sorry for these people struggling with homosexuality and other forms of sexual perversion. They are human beings that need love, help and support. And helping does not mean accepting and promoting the lifestyle. Too bad the majority don’t have a clue how to truly help this hurting, confused, abused portion of society. If one person gets the gist of this comment I will be utterly shocked.

Politics is all about votes and getting into power. That is why we are in deep shit with the Guatemalans and are risking a lot with this referendum, because politicians preferred to register so many Guatemalans illegally as Belizeans only to get their votes. Now they want the gays’ support also, and they don’t care whether it is right or wrong, they just want their votes and get into power. I see their is no place for morality in politics. But they should stop beating their chest with public prayers to the one true God. Even that nation that states “In God We Trust”. Which god is that? Certainly not the Christian one.

    Leviticus 20:13King James Version (KJV)

13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

John Briceño, if you love your office better you go on the side of the churches ONCE and for all.Our leader George Price was God`s son, we continue as that, we Belizeans want nothing to do with
    “EL OTRO LADO”
I do not hate them, but I do not accept what they do, tell them to do as they like, but not to invite my son to do as they want my son to do.
IF AMERICA SO LOVES THESE PEOPLE IN NEED OF NURTURING , WHY AMERICA DON`T TAKE THEM INTO THEIR HOMES?
WHY RAISE GAY FLAGS IN BELIZE? HAVE THEY RAISED GAY FLAGS IN RUSSIA, MEXICO, ETC?
