Managing Your Accounting with Enterprise Resource Planning
To assist with the implementation of best accounting practices in the region, a consulting firm from Washington DC is establishing presence in the Caribbean with an Enterprise Resource Planning software that companies can use to manage their business.
Zalena Khan, Co-Founder, Z-Cloud
“The easiest way to say this is comparing it to an accounting software that most of the people in the Caribbean knows. The accounting is a silo system that is use and an ERP system is a business management solution that brings all your silo systems together. For example: payroll, budgeting, forecast, business intelligence…all is under one software and the software is called NetSuite. NetSuite is a company, a public company in the U.S. and they got over thirty-five thousand customers internationally. They are not in the Caribbean yet and that’s the purpose for us here. We are bringing that software to the Caribbean.”

“What benefits can people from the Caribbean expect from this?”
Zalena Khan
“It’s a cloud-based solution, which means it is not an on-premise solution so in terms of automations and efficiency, one of the features that people are seeing is that they can run their business in the cloud anywhere at any time. And they can also see in terms where people are the ones that deliver the actions in terms of, for example, a sales transaction moving to inventory, to warehouse. All of those are automated in the backend…so lots of automations and efficiencies.”
