A report of a fifteen-year old girl of the Bay area, California, who was bitten by a fer-de-lance while vacationing in Belize is making international news tonight. Audrey Benton and her family were heading to dinner at a resort when she was bitten by the snake and had to be rushed to the U.S. for treatment. Benton is a water polo player; her sporting activities have been put on hold since she is now in the process of recovering. Here is her compelling story as aired on KRON 4.
