With the home of an affluent Belize City family robbed in broad daylight, does the aggravated burglary pose a threat to other well-off residents in that neighborhood?

“Should others in the area be concerned that they too may be targeted? This is an affluent area of the city.”

“Yes, certainly the investigation reveals that these persons may have had information as to the layout of this house. As it relates to other residences in the area, we will re-strategize our patrols in that general area and certainly the police presence will be beefed up in that area to prevent any reoccurrence.”

“Did the perpetrators express any interest in harming anyone? Was there excessive cruelty or was it just…”

“Well one of them was armed with a firearm and the persons at the residence just complied with what the demands were at the time so no one was injured.”

“Is this something that you all, in terms of the suspects, since it is an usual type of crime; a home invasion in the King’s Park area. Are there any known suspects operating in this area or people you look at?”

“Yes at this time, we have persons of interests. Durign the course of last night, there was an operation launched where several houses have been searched in order to recover some items. So far nothing was found except for that phone that was found on that street as mentioned. But of course we are looking at persons who frequent that area; the modus how it happened and we are certainly are looking for those persons for this particular investigation.”

While both perpetrators made good their escape, a white Iphone cell phone was recovered on St. Matthews Street sometime thereafter.
