How Close Were Saldivar and Mason?
Central to what has been unfolding over the past week and a half is Belmopan Area Representative John Saldivar, whose name is repeatedly being called in the current saga. Flowers insinuates that the senior politician may have had a hand in creating this perfect storm to distract from what is taking place with the Lucas murder. He has also gone on record to say that William Mason and Saldivar are more than meets the eye.

“Mr. Saldivar seems to be the common denominator, as I would like to put it, in all of this. Not necessarily to vilify him—these are allegations being made either way—but in terms of the attempt to railroad your professional life, the name John Saldivar comes up. In terms of William Danny Mason, as much as he has created distance between himself and the suspected killer, the name comes up once again. Does this speak to some greater political power play or something that is happening within the corridors of power as we know?”
Supt. Mark Flowers, Former Commander, GSU
“I think I might have had too much information, I was coming too close. I don’t know that John Saldivar is involved in any criminal activity as it relates to Mason’s actions. I don’t think that he would be so low, but certainly to now come and denying friendship or the quantum of money and to do so, so blatantly and then to try to mess me up because of your stupid decisions and actions and associations, there is no justification at all. You will not scapegoat me. And that is why again I said I have gone to the best legal mind that I know in all of Belize to get by this and to deal with that.”
It was going to come down to you or Mason as scapegoat.
Bookies in Vegas say you.
Sorry,
but UDP might need two scapegoats to cover Salvidar’s baggage and keep him on cabinet; if that makes you feel better.
MASON WILL FLEE, GSU COMMANDER HEAD WILL FLY, CASE CLOSED.
