Michael Young is Laid to Rest in Belize City

A somber moment today, as hundreds gathered to bid Senior Counsel Michael Young farewell at Wesley Methodist Church in Belize City.  Of the many in attendance at the funeral service, Governor General Sir Colville Young and Prime Minister Dean Barrow were among prominent figures, including a who’s-who in the legal fraternity.  In spite of the dismal weather, the outpour of mourners was overwhelming.  Sadly, the sixty-one-year-old attorney took his own life last Tuesday at his residence in Bella Vista.  He leaves behind a wife and three children, as well as a host of other loved ones to grieve his passing.
