Tyron Coleman Survives Quintuple Bypass Surgery in Cayman Islands

Tyron Coleman

Tyron Coleman is back in Belize after completing several successful rounds of open heart surgeries at Health City Hospital in the Cayman Islands. The popular James Bus driver was diagnosed with a rare heart condition earlier this year and after assistance from Belizeans living in Cayman, he was flown via air-ambulance for the urgent medical procedure. Coleman and his family are at the moment en route to their home in Punta Gorda, but earlier today, his wife Lovinia spoke with News Five about his successful surgeries.

“We got to Cayman in time for the surgery and it was a success. If we would have reached a little later, I don’t know what would have happened. But the surgery went well with him and he is now back in Belize and is recovering. Recovery is good; the progress is okay. He has about two months to recover from the surgery.”

“We understand that he took five different surgeries?”

“Yes, he took five bypass. He had five blockages so he took five surgeries.”

“What are the doctors saying in terms of going forward?”

Lovinia Coleman

“The doctor said that he is like a new man. As long as he keeps his diet and exercises and keeps his health good; that won’t happen to him again. So it is up to him.”
