Ladyville Police Still Waiting for Dorian Pakeman Samples
Last week, you heard ACP Edward Broaster say that they were waiting for lab results from the national forensic lab in the Pakeman-Dawson case. ACP Broaster was hopeful that they would have gotten something last week, but today when he was asked he said that the report is still not forthcoming and that is holding up the entire process. The case file is with the Director of Public Prosecution, who had issued two directives to be complied with. Here’s what he had to say today.
ACP Edward Broaster, Regional Commander, Rural Eastern Division
“We have not been successful as yet. One of the main problems that we are having – or one of the main challenge that we are having is that we need a report from the national forensic laboratory regarding some samples that we have sent. To me, those are not forthcoming and that is the only thing that is holding up the culmination of this investigation as it pertains to that.”
Reporter
“Is there any specific reasons given; any reasonable reasons given as to why the delay because I figure these people must know that there is a level of urgency that you all need to work with to get to the D.P.P.’s office sometime soon?”
ACP Edward Broaster
“Well, you would have to ask them that question. I will not stand here and assume that they are probably overburdened with work and what have you. Mister Cocom personally spoke with the Director of the National Laboratory as well and he had assured Mister Cocom that he would have prioritized that testing and have the report as soon as possible to him. Other than that, we just have to wait.”
And wait we will . . and wait and wait and wait. Politricks is an awful business.
