Was Kim Ever Really in Belize?

But Penner started to clam up again when Senator Courtenay tried to make the connection between the ex-Minister of State’s ‘business vacation’ in Mainland China and Kim’s data showing up in Belize seeking passport and nationality.  He would only say that the Mainland China meeting happened after becoming Minister of State – but avoided any question of details.

“You ever met Mr. Kim in Belize?”

“No, I have not.”

“Besides the Taiwan meeting, China – what was the circumstances of your travelling to China?”

“It was a business slash vacation.”

Eamon Courtenay

“Business slash vacation, this was before or after you were a minister?”

“After I was a minister.”

Eamon Courtenay

“After you were a minister?”

Elvin Penner

“Yes.”

Eamon Courtenay

“And you met with Mr. Kim after you were a minister in China?”

Elvin Penner

“Yes, yes.”

“You would agree with me that since you have never met Mr. Kim in Belize, clearly you did not take him or accompany him to the passport office, is that correct?”

“I will not answer any more questions in regards to Mr. Kim.”

“Why is that?”

Elvin Penner

“I read the statement this morning and I try in my best way possible to explain why not.”

Eamon Courtenay

“Are you prepared to agree the obvious that if you have never met him in Belize, he did not accompany you to the Immigration and Nationality Department?”

Elvin Penner

“Again, I will not answer any questions with regards to Mr. Kim.”

Penner also said he had never been to South Korea and could not recall having met Kim any other country besides the two Chinas.
