P.U.P. Condemns House Assault on Media
There is condemnation of the attack on the media by political operatives. This afternoon, the People’s United Party condemned the actions of Yellow Man and U.D.P. Chairman Alberto August as well as Allan Kelly. The P.U.P. finds it unacceptable that Chairman Aldo Salazar allowed the disruption to unfold without demanding that Police take control of the U.D.P. cronies. The P.U.P. calls on the P.M. to discipline the U.D.P. supporters and instruct them not to return to the Senate. The party also demands that the Prime Minister rein in Yellow Man, who acted criminally by assaulting two members of the media and threatening to throw another one over the railing of the gallery. The P.U.P. also strongly condemns the vicious assault on the press, saying this type of criminality cannot be countenanced. The P.U.P. says that the disruption of the proceedings in the Senate was orchestrated to delay or perhaps even halt the very revealing testimony being given by former U.D.P. Minister Elvin Penner. It notes that just prior to the disruption, Penner during his testimony insisted that the Prime Minister and Cabinet received monthly activity reports from the Ministry of Immigration, which would mean that Mister Barrow knew what was going on in that Department. When asked about those reports after the recent sitting of the House, the Prime Minister could not recall.
Channel 5 needs to investigate Albert Augustus motives in this because he was involved in mass registrations before last election and could well be trying to derail Senate inquiry so it doesn’t lead back to him personally. Check archives for allegations of late night activity at Cayo udp offices…
