Alberto August of Belizeans Against Courtenay Apologizes for Press Attacks
Chairman of the United Democratic Party, Alberto August, this afternoon told News Five he was taking full responsibility for the attack on members of the press last week at the Senate Special Select Committee public hearing. It appears the media got in the way of his ad-hoc group called “Belizeans against Courtenay” – specifically, Senator Eamon Courtenay. August described the events as totally unfortunate and said it was his fault that his men had not been told to stay away from the press during their actions. According to August, it is in the capacity of leader of “Belizeans against Courtenay” that he and his group went to the National Assembly on May tenth, returned last Wednesday, and will be back again this coming Wednesday.
On the Phone: Alberto August, Leader, Belizeans Against Courtenay
“My other contention, in terms of this past Wednesday, is the situation with regards to the media: while I might have been the leader of that group out there, what transpired with the media is totally unfortunate. I, like I told another media [house], I am taking full responsibility for that – not because I am throwing anybody under the bus, but it’s because of my fault, that I did not brief them that the media is our friend. When we go out there in protest against anything, we want the media to take our photograph so that it can be shown to those people who didn’t have a chance to see the event or hear about it; the media is our friend. So like I am saying, I take responsibility. Some of those people out there are soldiers of the party; I am not throwing them under the bus, but I as the person who led that charge take full responsibility for it, because probably I did not brief them in regards to that. But I am going to tell you something and I am making this commitment now: as Alberto August continues to lead the charge – Alberto August, private citizen of Belize – continue to lead the charge against Eamon Courtenay, nobody in my group is ever going to attack the media; because the media is our friend, we acknowledge that, and we appreciate the media one hundred percent, and we depend on the media to bring across these kinds of irregularities that these people are committing in regard to this nation.”

“First of all, that is an apology for what happened on Wednesday? You consider that unfortunate?”
On the Phone: Alberto August
“I consider it unfortunate and I take full responsibility for it and I am committing that in terms of our movement, that should never ever happen again.”
First of all, you IGNORANT, ILLITERATE THUG, KNOW WHAT THE TERM MEANS WHEN YOU SAY YOU’RE THROWING SOMEONE UNDER THE BUS. YOU USED IT DIRECTLY OUT OF CONTEXT. None of your ignorant street figures tried to hide or deny what they did so there’s no one to “THROW UNDER THE BUS.” The main reason why I have no respect nor regard for the UDP, regardless of some of the thieves from PUP, is because you all are tantamount to regular street cons and criminals. If PUP were in power and doing this, you all would have already been out there trying to tear up shit. I think you feel like this is one of your women whom you physically abused over the years. The one who put yourself and Joe Bradley on blast on Facebook and a couple of other media houses “got your number” though and shut you up. See, she wasn’t like some of the others, including the twin who works at UB, nor the one whom you live with now. The likes of them have no self-esteem. You have not put your hands on the right woman as yet though
typical of low class but really low class n****s
