Nazarenes Call Out Government for Treatment of Louis Wade

The home church of Pastor Louis Wade Junior has come to his defense, calling the charges of assault and use of insulting words “totally unacceptable.”  The Church of the Nazarene is also calling for a legitimate investigation into the confrontation between Wade, the owner and a journalist for PLUS TV in Belmopan, and Robert Montero, the son of Minister Rene Montero.  Wade was documenting the use of government resources completing the work of a private contractor at the Santa Elena Sporting Complex in November of 2016 when he alleges Robert Montero attempted to run him over with his vehicle. However, Wade was charged with assault of and insulting Montero.  In a statement, the District Superintendent for the Church of the Nazarene, Reverend Keith Joseph, accused authorities of attempting to discredit the Church by questioning the character of Wade, whom he calls one of their outstanding pastors.  Joseph writes, “We fully support Pastor Wade in his endeavour to stand against unrighteousness, even if it is against leaders that make up our government. We are fully committed to praying for them, but will not condone any questionable act that will undermine our people as a nation. The Bible is very clear on God’s position regarding wrong: Proverbs chapter fourteen and verse thirty-four, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” Wade returns to court in mid-June when the Magistrate makes a decision on whether the case proceeds to trial.

Wade should accept that time is of no consequence. As he rightly knows he has to pay for all his sins and omissions. It doesn’t matter if its 6 months or a year or 10 years or 50 years. Learn to be a man of god, accept the law of the land with that christian conviction he so much brags about. Unless off course has has already confessed and has a clean slate . . .
