Regular, Diesel Fuel Price Increases Arrive
As we go into the Independence Day holiday, fuel prices are going up at the pumps once again. On September fourth, the Government announced that there would be increases in fuel prices as part of the after effects of Hurricane Harvey in the Houston area. Well, those awaited increases in fuel prices are here, and go into effect at midnight tonight. For the first time in some memory, regular gasoline climbs past the eleven-dollar mark, from ten dollars twenty-one cents to eleven dollars and thirteen cents, an increase of a whopping ninety-two cents. Regular fuel prices last went up in mid-August. Diesel prices go up by thirty-seven cents, from nine dollars twenty-six cents to nine dollars and sixty-three cents. Premium fuel, which went up in the last price increase in mid-August to ten dollars ninety-nine cents, remains the same for now, as does kerosene. The new prices are only for Belize City and district stations should expect prices to be a few cents higher than in the Old Capital.
Mr. Dean Barrow needs more money to pay Mr. Ashcrof . The government said they will not increase tax but increasing the gas price every item price goes up automatically. The best is yet to come Belize. Take the shaft and do not screem.
