Evening Shooting Leaves Boom Resident Critical in Hospital

Cardinal Andrews

There is another shooting to report as violence continues to grip the south side of Belize City. Twenty-eight-year-old Cardinal Andrews is said to be in critical condition after he was critically injured in a shooting incident on Partridge Street. Sometime around four this afternoon, the Burrell Boom resident was in the area when a single armed man came up to him and fired a single shot which caught him in the back of his head and reportedly exited through his temple. Police responded to the scene and immediately took Andrews to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where at last report he was in the operating theater. We’ll have more on this on Thursday.
