Modest Decrease for Regular Fuel; What Happened to Big Cuts?

Prime Minister Dean Barrow promised a significant fuel price reduction at a press conference, but he asked for a couple days grace for it to happen. According to the Prime Minister, the fuel shipment was on its way from Venezuela. Effective Wednesday, regular gas prices are down sixteen cents, to ten dollars and thirteen cents from ten dollars and twenty-nine cents.  The good news is that combined with the prior decrease made on October sixth, the new price is below the level it was at the time of the increase before Independence Day. The bad news, however, is that there is no ease for diesel and premium fuel prices which remain at nine dollars and sixty-three cents and eleven dollars and ninety-two cents, respectively. Kerosene also rose by twenty-one cents to five dollars and eighty-nine cents.

I thought companies has been pumping Oil in Belize? However, $10 + a gallon for gas in Belize, so how come there are so many cars/transportation in Belize? It shows that Belizeans have money to afford driving around in the country. I mean, even the Gang members have cars. It seems like Belizeans don’t like riding Bikes, anymore. Everybody, in a small country like Belize have Cars/Guns! This is not the old Belize in the 70’s, where everybody rode Bikes. This New Belize have a whole lot of money….
