Is There Any Involvement by the U.S. in the Continued Surveillance of the Ahmads?
This is not the first incident involving the Ahmad family. Back in June of 2016, the Special Patrols Unit conducted an early morning raid at their family homes. Later on, a cousin was killed in Philippines during a purported recruitment to join ISIS. While police has made no links to this, one of the last questions put to Attorney Dickie Bradley was if there was any involvement by the U.S.

“Do you believe that this continued surveillance might have any input or directive from the U.S.?”
Dickie Bradley, Attorney
“The situation is that a young man who was a shining start in our community has died under suspicious circumstances and that the family has produced some evidence to the Assistant Commissioner of Police that there are credible threats. And as things stand right now we don’t want to bring in Donald Trump at this early stage. We want to say that there is a family that is grieving and that a young lady has been charged with a most serious of offences. And the family wants to know that the investigation is not halted and that it covers every angle and that no stone is left unturned.”
