Mexican Vice-Minister Visits Belize This Week

There is another high level visit coming up. Officials from Mexico are scheduled to arrive this coming Friday. The Undersecretary for Latin America and the Caribbean, Ambassador Luis Alfonso de Alba, and the Executive Director of the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation Agustín García-López Loaeza, will be here for a few hours.  The purpose of the visit is for the presentation of the final construction project of the Mexico Sports Hall at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City. An agreement will also be signed with the Ministry of Education for twenty-five part-scholarships to students of the Escuela Secundaria Técnica México as well as for the official inauguration of the replica of the Olmec head in Belmopan.
