Adopted Belizean rises above health condition

Back in 2010, we shared the story of Anicee Lamaroux who was six-years-old at the time and was living with a rare brittle bone disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta that left her severely deformed. An American couple who also have the same condition adopted Anicee. Since then she has been living in the U.S and says that her bones have broken almost two hundred times. But that hasn’t stopped Anicee from accomplishing her goals. She is a skilled painter whose work has been exhibited at the White House. She serves as an ambassador to the Children’s Hospital where she used her art to raise one-hundred-thousand U.S. dollars. In a recent interview with non-profit organization Special Books by Special Kids, Anicee spoke about the things she is most thankful for and how she has risen above her condition.
