KHMH trims back services after roof issues
The Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital says that it is operating on an ‘emergency mode’ after a section of the hospital’s roof collapsed. According to the hospital, a preliminary structural assessment shows a need for immediate reinforcement to a section of the building. The necessary repair has started and is affecting key areas within the K.H.M.H., including Radiology, Operating Theater, Central Sterilization, clinics and other administrative functions. In a release this afternoon the K.H.M.H. says it, “continues to function in “Emergency Mode” whereby the cancellation of all clinics, elective services and a necessary reduction in visiting hours to lessen traffic through the facility foreseeable until Monday March twenty-sixth, 2018.”
