Local doc publishes health book
Worldwide, more and more people are becoming health conscious. But for every theory saying do this or eat that to improve your health, there seems to be another saying the exact opposite. In the middle of this medical mayhem, one local cardiologist has published his prescription for the confused called: Your doctor can’t make you healthy.
Dr. Bernard Bulwer, Cardiologist
“Your doctor can’t make you healthy. Your doctor can treat your sickness, but your doctor cannot make you healthy. Now that may sound like a very simple statement, but it’s very profound because many people have the mistaken opinion that health is in the hands of someone else. Health is not what happens in a hospital, it is not something that happens in a clinic. It does not come from pills and tablets and medicine and surgery, those things have a place, but those things do not impart health. Health is what takes place outside of the doctor’s office, it is keeping your vehicle running on the road. When it breaks down, you go into the garage; that is what you call health care. So I’m trying to let people understand that health and healthcare are two very different things.”
The official launch of Dr. Bulwer’s book is scheduled for November eighth at the Princess Hotel. Copies will be on sale for fifty dollars.
