Gov’t Will Not Attempt to Influence April 2019 Vote

While he would not put forward what percentage of Cabinet is in favor of a yes vote, the prime minister does acknowledge that there are indeed a few members who remain undecided on the matter.

“I can say, even at this early stage, that the vast majority of the individual members of Cabinet will be voting yes and will be encouraging their constituents to vote likewise.  But I repeat that there are those who have not yet come to as firm a position as others have reached and that we must respect their right, as we respect the right of all citizens to make their individual decision which in the end might not coincide with the decision of the majority.”
