To Your Good Health

The Gateway Youth Center held its annual health fair today at the Constitution Park in Belize City. A number of the organizations shared informational pamphlets, interactive games, as well as free testing. We stopped by to speak with Counselor Erolyn Sebastian about the fourth youth-led health fair.

“This is our fourth annual health fair. Every year we try to find a different location so that we could capture different people in the community. And we feel like it was very beneficial to continue having the health fair this year bringing awareness to young persons and the older persons in our community so that they  understand what it takes to live a healthy lifestyle.   We have free HIV testing out here; people from the Diabetes Association out here; OCEANA, BFLA, BCVI and others.  So far, we have good feedback so that is a good thing. Students enjoy it as well because they get free fruits and prizes. So, so far the feedback has been good.”
