Final Appeal for Murdered Michelle Anderson; Family Seeks Help with Burial Expenses
While Belize City police are yet to make an arrest in the Monday morning execution of Michelle Anderson, the children of the slain fish cleaner are seeking public assistance in defraying the cost of her burial. Daughter, Natalie Ortiz is making an appeal to anyone who is prepared to lend a helping hand in covering Anderson’s funeral expenses.
Natalie Ortiz, Daughter of Deceased
“For all who are willing to help us with our funeral expenses you can call 633-0182. We really need help because my mom died leaving nine children and four of them are small, they go to school. So if you can, please just… Anything is appreciated. She was the father and mother of her kids. She has an account at Atlantic Bank, but only three change she has on it and I come to understand that when the person is deceased they don’t give back the money, but at this time we would really appreciate back this money, it’s only three hundred and forty-one dollars, but it’s a big help to us for the children.”
Belize needs to change the rules on financial institutions, regarding deceased person leaving a bank account. It should be left to a person that will distribute the money equally.
