Death of Rudolph Kelly Now a Murder Investigation
When Rudolph Kelly perished following a violent collision on Central American Boulevard last Tuesday, speculations ran wide that he did not succumb to injuries received during the accident. It was a theory that his family firmly believed and that opinion has since been supported with the results of an autopsy. A post mortem examination conducted on Kelly’s body indicates that he died from massive internal and external bleeding. The Eight Mile resident hemorrhaged after being cut twice on the left arm. It would seem as though he may have been rushing himself to the hospital when he collided into a lamppost at the roundabout near Mahogany Street. According to ASP Alejandro Cowo, police are now treating the matter as a homicide investigation.

“Reference the initial report that police had mentioned in regards to Mr. Rudolph Kelly who was first thought that it was a traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday last week, a post mortem examination was conducted on the body of Mr. Rudolph Kelly and at the conclusion of the post mortem the doctor certified that the cause of death was internal and external exsanguinations due to two stab wounds that he had received to his left arm. So that matter automatically turns out to be a murder investigation.”

“Alright, now sir when last you spoke no one had any idea where this had happened or under what circumstances. Are there suspects at this time or any suspicion of what dispute may have led to him being stabbed?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“What we have gathered so far is that police definitely know that he had an altercation with other persons, however, where the incident took place, we cannot establish that. We have detained two persons in regards to this investigation and we are looking for one more person. Unfortunately, we had to release the two persons because of not having enough evidence to have them in custody.”

“And the nature of the dispute? I know not to speak ill of the dead but I know that in the past maybe he had been involved in some illicit activity. Was it anything having to do with illicit movements?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Well, the investigation is still point in many directions, [we] have many leads and that is what we are looking at, at this moment.”
