Annual Taiwanese Scholarship Recipients are Announced

Twenty-nine Belizeans have been awarded full scholarships to pursue studies in Taiwan. The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund Scholarship Programme and the Taiwan Scholarship Programme are providing recipients with a round trip ticket, accommodations, tuition, books and other fees, along with a monthly allowance.  Four students have been accepted by the School of Medicine for International Students to pursue a four-year M.D. programme, while the other twenty-five recipients will attend a university of their choice to pursue their undergraduate, graduate or PhD degrees.   Since the scholarship programmes started, three-hundred-and-sixty-three Belizeans have studied in Taiwan. Currently, there over one-hundred Belizeans in Taiwan who are studying public health, agriculture, business administration, engineering and information and communication technology.
