Grayson Cadle Remains Critical at the K.H.M.H.
Grayson Cadle remains in a critical condition tonight in the hospital. He is the twenty-one-year-old who was burnt to seventy percent of his body when a butane leak inside his neighbour’s apartment sent off an explosion on Monday evening after four. Cadle has since been placed in an induced coma. According to his mother, Marianne Emmanuel Cadle, she and her two sons have been living in the apartment for just about three months. She says that on the day of the fire, she saw smoke and flames from a distance, but it was until she got home she saw that her apartment had burnt down. She tells us that when she saw her son in the hospital, he was only able to utter a few words. Marianne remains hopeful that Grayson will recover.

“The doctors they called me and said ‘come and see Grayson”. I said, ‘okay’. Apparently he was alert when the doctors said that it was his mom to come and see him. He just blurted out, “mommy, mommy, I did not do anything. I did not do anything.” I said ‘okay. Okay, baby. Okay.’ The doctor they were treating and attending to him. So I could not ask too many questions. Dr. Montejo, a very nice doctor who I know, he said that Grayson is critical. So I could not talk much to him because I did not want to interfere.”

Marianne Emmanuel Cadle
“For the removal of the burnt skin.”

“He was placed in an induced coma?”
Marianne Emmanuel Cadle
“Yes. He was placed in an induced coma.”

“At this time, are you able to say how he is? Is he still critical?”
Marianne Emmanuel Cadle
“Yes. The doctor explained to my sister that Grayson was taken out of the coma but that will take a little time. Why? Because not every patients respond as quickly as some. It might take twelve hours, twenty four hours.

“So he is critical at this time. Is there is hope that he will recover?
