“In respect of your personal campaign sir, I know that 2019 is quickly approaching and your bid for leadership of the party.  Is there anything specific that you’re doing to kind of gain that momentum?”

“Not necessarily at this time, I believe that my work will show for itself.  I guess I will say similar things to what Minister Faber has said, my work in my ministry, what the new assignment that I’ve had in terms of the police department and the fight against crime.  I think that will help to show the people of Belize the kind of skills that I bring to the table in terms of leadership and eventually, like I’ve always said, leadership isn’t something that you go out and go and get or fight for, it is something that the people decide that they want you to be their leader and if they find me to be that person I’ll be happy to accept the job.”
