Robbers Target Quality Poultry Delivery Men
A Quality Poultry Products deliveryman was jacked of seven thousand dollars on the job. The employee told police that on Saturday around three-thirty he was parked on Nim Li Punit Street in front of a supermarket in Belmopan when two armed men approached him and demanded money. Fearing for his life, he handed over the cash belonging to the poultry company. The robbers also made off with the company truck, which was later retrieved. Police say that they are checking surveillance cameras in the area to help with the investigation. While they are following several leads, at this time there are no known suspects. “Francisco Monterroso, twenty nine years, delivery truck driver reported to the police that whilst park at a business place on Nim Li Punit Street in order to conduct a delivery. His two side men entered the building and he stayed behind in the truck when he was approached by two male Hispanic persons who demanded money one of whom showed him a handgun. As a result, in fear for his life, he jumped out of his truck and ran for safety. This is when the assailants then took control of the truck and the monies that were in the truck and drove off. The truck was found extensively damaged in the Belmopan Area.”
