Dean Samuels says Minister Martinez Supports Him
When the media interviewed Port Loyola Area Representative Anthony Martinez last week, he expressed support for Michael Peyrefitte. But according to Dean Samuels, Martinez’s support was misplaced because Martinez was under the impression that he would not run.
Dean Samuels, U.D.P. Candidate, Port Loyola
“Everybody knows in Port Loyola, you can go anywhere here; everyone understands that I am my Minister’s first choice. That is not here or there. I will grab that right there. Everybody knew that when Boots go, that Dean will take over. People in Port Loyola had no problem with that. People in Port Loyola: “big man it is you who will come next. I got your back”. People understand that. For people when they heard I stepped down it was a controversial situation and a situation that I have resolved.”

“Sir but you criticized his work for the past four terms. You somewhat attacked him in your interview. Do you think that is strategic?
Dean Samuels
“Never in my life. I will not sit here and I will never attack the honorable minister. I know him personally and I can tell you that whatever people think about him that is their opinion and I have my view and opinion. I have always known him to provide goods and service to poor people. A lot of people will not get help. A lot of people have their opinion. Whatsoever people think personally about him. My view, been around here with him, I will never sit here and attack or throw him underneath the bus. That’s a fact.”

“But sir it still does sound as though you have indicted the current area rep. by suggesting that the status quo keeps remaining. He has been here for many years and Port Loyola has had a situation where the upliftment has been slow.”
Dean Samuels
“I will be honest, when I made that comment that goes for both parties. It did not go for one person directly or I am singling out anybody. It is on a whole, politics. I have to come to people as a politician. I do not regard myself as a politician but that is the guise. If I want to serve my people that is my avenue and that is my lane on how I will serve you. At the end of the day if that it was take me to bring goods and services to you and serve you then that is how I will come to you. But I do not throw anyone underneath the bus, please.”
in both segments of the interview he used the word
“honest” excessively and in first he kept referring to himself in third person….generally tell tale signs someone is in fact being untruthful or trying to rewrite the story so people forget his original role in the mess
