Any New Initiatives on the Horizon between Belize and Taiwan?
The official visit of the Taiwanese head of state is a brief one during which high-level meetings will be held with senior members of the Barrow administration. But is Belize to expect any new initiatives to come out of bilateral talks with Taiwan? That’s what we asked C.E.O. Pat Andrews this morning.
Patrick Andrews, C.E.O., Ministry of Foreign Affairs
“As everything would have it, you know, the plans are for us to have bilateral negotiations with Taiwan and there will be discussions regarding the cooperation that Taiwan and Belize has. I cannot go beyond that but for sure, like I mentioned just now. As soon as we finalize and close up on everything we will make sure that you are the first ones that we will be sharing this information with.”
News Five will provide coverage of the official visit beginning with the arrival on Thursday afternoon.
