Oscar Selgado

According to attorney Oscar Selgado, the Crown told the court that the case file is not ready because the prosecution has not received further instructions from the Office of the Public Prosecution.

Oscar Selgado, Attorney for Defendants

“To my surprise also the prosecutor a very junior member of the police force, h e was a corporal. A corporal was left to prosecute such a major crime in the court. He basically said to the court that in fact the file was sent to the D.P.P. and he has not received any further instructions as to the status of the file but he knows that the file is not complete and further works need to be done on the file.”

“Is there any possibility that they can be rearrested and charged?”

Oscar Selgado

“If that is done, it will be abuse of process. I am not saying that it cannot be done but if it is done then it will an abuse of process and we will then make applications to the court to have it strike out.”
