Cayo South Experiencing Water Woes
In Cayo South, residents of Armenia, St. Margaret’s and Unitedville are also experiencing a water crisis. They are having difficulty accessing potable water. According to Area Representative Julius Espat, despite the chairman of Unitedville being a member of the United Democratic Party, he is complaining about the same issue affecting the village.

“The village of St. Margaret’s is experiencing now similar water problems to that of Armenia. And now Madame Speaker, the village of Unitedville is having a water crisis and while everybody on both sides the wish everybody a Merry Christmas and thing happy, eat dehn turkey and dehn wahn drink dehn cognac and the prime minister when drink ih champagne on the beautiful Christmas tree lights that he has in front of his house Madame Speaker, I have villlagers in Cayo South, specifically Unitedville that can’t drink water that is clean, that can’t take a bath for their children, that can’t wash their clothes Madame Speaker and it is unacceptable and I am bringing it to the Minister of Rural of Rural Development who is also our prime minister and hopefully he can look into the situation.”
