Wilfred Elrington, U.D.P. Area Rep., Pickstock
“I can tell you I am ready. This is a dispute that has been going on from before I was born and I personally have been dealing with it in one way or the other for an excess of over fifty years. Here I have a golden opportunity to try to put it to bed. I would be highly irresponsible if I were not now in a position to take full advantage of this opportunity and maximize the potential to get out my people and have them vote yes so we can put the matter to rest. So I in fact I am very ready, very capable and will do all in my power to bring out every single voter.”

“As a party, is the U.D.P. ready?”
Wilfred Elrington
“I am not only dealing with party people actually. You would be surprise how many other people- Belizeans who I know to have sentiments different from those of U.D.P. voters, who have made very clear, plain to me that they are voting yes, that this is a matter above party politics, this is the future of our country. And I ask everybody who I meet to vote in favor of going to the I.C.J. and nine out of tenth agree with me that this is what must be done. All of them, I will try to mobilize and all of them I will try to get to the polls so that they can vote yes.”
