Denise E. Antonio Is New UNDP Representative to Belize
Denise Antonio, an American citizen, and native of Liberia has been appointed to serve as Resident Representative for Belize. Antonio is committed to supporting the government in areas such as biodiversity, public health, and natural resources management. Antonio, who is also the representative to Jamaica, is currently in Belize on a working visit. She is meeting with government officials as well as local U.N.D.P. reps. She is also scheduled to pay courtesy calls on officials at the Ministry of Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment, and Sustainable Development; Ministry of Economic Development; Ministry of Human Development, Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation. Antonio’s appointment came into effect on June tenth.
