Floyd Reneau Alleges that Malpractice Led to his Common-Law’s Death

According to Reneau, a biopsy was done, but he was told that the results returned negative for any signs of a disease.  Her condition, however, worsened to the point that she was physically affected.  He says that he did not receive a copy of the biopsy results until fifteen months later. A worried and frustrated Reneau marched into the K.H.M.H. complaint office to file a grievance.

“Take into consideration that when they cut her what they say we don’t know but the stomach started swelling. Now they claim that they saw a mass, they saw a tumor. By looking at the files I see that they did saw a tumor but if you did see a tumor, where is the copy of this biopsy report? The surgery was done November twenty ninth 2017, no response. June twenty third I went into this hospital and made a complaint to the complaint office. I don’t know what happened. We didn’t get upstairs. She got sick again November eighteen. I brought her back here. Same procedure, scat scan- we not getting no answers. No they decided to give her a quick fix which is a colonoscopy bag. She does not need colonoscopy bag if she still uses the restroom. Meanwhile she is losing blood. Every two weeks she has to get a blood transfusion. We sat down and talked about it and I decided to move her to the US. She was taken to the US in December first of 2018. She went to the hospital December second. Within seventy two hours she was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. This facility knew that she had pre cancer. This is a copy of the biopsy report. This biopsy was done in November twenty ninth. The result came in August sixteen 2018. We didn’t receive this until February of this year. That is fifteen months later. She can’t be alive fifteen months later.  So something is wrong.”
